Long? (with the extra 10 mm)
or just at "normal" lengths?? (without the extra 10 mm)
or do you not care since you choke up the the cone or almost to the cone when playing?

    :D

regular, haven't try much extra long racquets and when I did, I wasn't hitting right. Probably coz I am too used to the regular racquets. Maybe this opinion would change after I adjust.

I get used to the long size more than the regular. Actually I never try the regular size since I start to play badminton.

I prefer regular ones. Once I tried the "long" ones, kinda always miss the "sweet spot".

Guess it will take a while for ppl to adjust the length change.

As far as I know the long kind is only 1cm longer than regular. It is not a night and day difference. You do get a bit more balance and power because you would have a long racquet to swing.

well 1cm can make a difference, just like 2U and 3U is only different by 3-4g. Subtle difference like that can alter the feel completely. There is also location of where to put Ti-mesh. These seemly trivial stuff are actually quite important. :)

    Preference: 10mm Longer
    Reason: Further Reach

Only complaint: Have to get used to the length. After that, there's no problem. So to those who cannot adjust to the longer rackets, just play with it more often and you'll get the hang of it.

errrr = hang on, isn't there a ruling about racquet length - in essesnce they are all the same length - they just shorten the handle in the long racquets!!

...which brings me to the question, are long rackets 10 mm longer on the shaft or on the handle? or are there models which are longer on the shaft and others are longer on the handle?

it depends on the model. on the MP100, the handle is longer; on the long carbonex, the shaft is longer; on the MP77, the racket head is longer/larger!

    Yup Kwun is right!

And MP90 is sorta in between MP77/MP100, longer handle and longer head!

    Errr.... Nope.

MP90 has similar head shape as MP77, and same handle length as MP100. It has slightly shorter shaft to make it a standard long sized racket.

Honestly, I have never thought about this. As long as the racket feels right, I think it is a good one. Ummm.... maybe I shall check the rackets that I have played with.....
