    Sotx String

Your statement is only true before I tried SOTX 1040-Ti65. 1mm thiner than the BG-85, power is about the same, but definitely sounds better and last longer.

Is it 1mm or did you mean 0.1 mm thinner? :)
Unfortunately, SOTX products are hard to found in the city I live...

IMO, sotx ti 65 does not sound that loud and definitely does not last longer. BG 66 gives better sound and last a lil bit longer than sotx ti 65, sotx only last 2 hours for me (NO MISHIT).

Agree, so far, BG-85 wins. BG-80 is a close second. Haven't tried anything thinner than 0.67mm except the SOTX 0.65mm string but can't really compare it because didn't hit with it that long.

Compared to bg66 in your case, bg80 gives louder sound but at lower pitch. So you have more BOOOM than PING.

The Ashway Rally 22 strings in my buddies racquet sounded pretty good.

The Gosen 505 Ti had a really good ting.

Gosen 88 is okay, but the Forza .70 string is better.

The best - ProAce. Some serious Ping going on there.

0.66mm strings sound and perform really good, but their durabilities really suck.

can anyone tell me whats the purpose of having lound sound?

if the sound disapear, does it mean that the string is not so good or its turning bad?

I'm afraid you are all wrong, it is natural gut that will give the best noise when smashing ;)

I don't doubt it. In tennis, natural gut sounded and played the best but no durability.

A cheapy string will sound louder than a BG85 or BG66 if it is strung at a higher tension. The tension factor is more important than the string factor. :D

I like Gosen 0.66mm strings best, but they are way too fragile.

I believe the Gosen Tecgut Tour is 0.66mm, and I have strung it to 32lbs with no problem.
