Only PB Djarum sends its players to the European Junior tourneys. Pelatnas?? They don't even send the second-team to the Bitburger Open GPG.
2 matches had to be settled in rubber-set today while the GS was the worst as expected. Tomorrow, Team INA has to play better to beat THA and I expect the team to win points from XD, BD, and GD. BS will be a tough fight with THA having a slight edge, while THA will probably take GS.
wow, Denmark was defeated by Netherlands??? Even Viktor Axelsen has to play a rubber set to secure a point for Denmark.
India tops Group X1 with 428 points. IND is pretty strong in MS and WS, and weak in MD. Chinese Taipei were handed a W/O by Nigeria, and played Singapore in Group X2, winning 3-1 (???) and gaining 222 points. IND play Chinese Taipei next in the Group X playoffs. Chinese Taipei appear to be a bit weak in MD and XD. They are also without the services of TTY in the group matches, and so they may not be able to match India's Sindhu in the WS department. It may be a tough call between the MS of the 2 countries. On the whole, the results of any one match could affect the balance of the outcome for both teams.
Canada just edged USA out in their Group W playoffs!! The WS, MS and WD scored over the US, who won the MD The XD is still to be played.
Viktor axelsen lost to MS from HKG, and he's not the first HKG single. cmiiwCan he defend title? I think the MS individual competition would be more fun than expected since Viktor might be too tired or not in gd form
I feel they appear weak. Not a certainty. My evaluation is just based on the recent results... Po Jui Huang of Chinese Taipei plays both XD and MD. They lost XD against Singapore in easy, straight games. In MD, they won, but barely got past Singapore in 3 games. I don't know about the other MD team they have; maybe that one is stronger?
Wow, Viktor Axelsen just lost to Hong Kong's no 2 junior MS, Tam Chun Hei... this is a real surprise indeed.
