In answer to your 2nd question, it depends on the model but the price difference should not be more than 100 Baht usually.

    Hi Sealman,

A bit off topic but would you by chance know where you could find 3U Victor rackets in Thailand?

Having gone through the last two pages, i know that sports marketing and first sports are the shops to visit for yonex racquets. I will be visiting bangkok in the first week of august, and i want to buy a vt 80. Can some bangkok-er please let me know the price of a vt 80 there in bangkok? The latest poster about the price of a vt80 here said that its about 4150 baht.

I know this is off-topic, but if u could, please also suggest a cheaper alternative to vt 80. I am leaning towards the thruster k8000 or k6000 by victor, but i dont know if these are actually cheaper than vt80 or even available in thailand. I can do with something less stiffer but not head lighter than vt 80.

And yeah also, how will i bring racuqets back into my country, India? Will i carry it with me or will i check it in with the rest of my luggage? What about any customs etc?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Got back from Bangkok yesterday,
Pricing surveyed as below, check it yourself as I scare I remember wrongly.
Price are for reference only, it do not guranteed the real price when you enter the shop.

    Sports Marketing:
    Yonex NR750 = 4300 baht
    Yonex NR800 = 4300 baht
    Yonex VT60/VT70 = 3750 baht
    Yonex VT80 = 4200 baht
    Yonex Arc11 = 4300 baht
Victor MX60 = 3700 baht (not too sure)
    LiNing N90III = 5250 baht
LiNing N7/N9 = 3800 baht (not too sure)
    BG66UM = 200 baht/pack if you purchase racket. 160 bath/pack if wholesale with 20packs.

No stock for VT80PG, Zforce, Arc-FB.
    Have stock but I didn't check the price, i-Slash, MX70, MX80, BS11, BS12, LiNing N-series...

First Sports have much lesser stock compare to Sports Marketing.
Their price differences are minimum, around $2-4 USD.

    Yonex NR750 = 4250 baht
Gosen Trivista Delta = 2650 baht!! (promotion short period)

Got stock of many LiNing N-series, Gosen Root Zues and Ryoga Tenbu.
I didn't check out the price since I already purchased from Sports Marketing 2 days before.

Parrots sports have more lower end racket,
racket that caught my eyes only Gosen Roots Aremet Zeus and Ryoga Tenbu.
Both priced at 3200baht with string,
without string also priced the same.

Don't go to the Parrot sport branch at Phetchaburi Road,
they couldn't speak English and they sells them expensive...
Same Gosen Zues and Tenbu, they want it for 4200 baht...

None of these shop carry great shuttlecock,
the best they carry is RSL Tourney No.1
    Yonex Aerosensa10 / Aerosensa20 are available,
any higher than that, Thailand distributor didn't bring in...

Below is the map for easier reference...

You could carry your rackets onboard the plane unless you buying in bulk. You shouldn't encounter any issues with the Thai authorities but suggest you check with the Indian customs on the taxes applicable for your purchases.

Just to let you know the material for the Yonex and Victor apparels in Thailand is different from those available in Singapore and is made in Thailand.

You could drop by the Yonex showroom at Central World Plaza Level 3 for the Yonex apparels. I do not see a lot of Victor apparels in Bangkok. You could find some at Paragon Department Store Sports department. I have been to the Victor showroom in Bangkok but it is located in the outskirts of Bangkok.
