If anyone remembers this thread, then do read, if curious. Here's the very brief review from my friend who used the look-alike of SHB 100. He bought it for SGD48 from Queensway.

    Shoe: Ultima 100

Looks: Nice. seems almost like the actual high-end shoe.

Comfort: lousy..not much cushioning....same cushioning effect as any low-end yonex shoe.

    Sole: stiff..but has decent grip...

Overall feel: not much comfortable..not worth the money...

he prefers a cheaper Victor shoe he bought from Malaysia..

that was my friend's review...i would say, if u are comfortable with any other low-end yonex shoes, then the Ultima series shouldn't be a problem. It would seem good. But those used to high-end shoes, u might not wanna try these.

Lol...no way i'd buy that...maybe i'll buy it for casual wear....but even for casual wear, there are better shoes for that amount of money....another friend of mine had bought it recently...and he wore it to play today.....he shared the same view as my other friend....the outer-sole is too stiff...maybe needs seasoning, but still a bit too stiff....plus normal cushioning.....so comfort-wise, it's realli just a normal low-mid range shoe......

Wow...u managed to a pic of all three in one....those outside of Singapore n Malaysia can see it now........

and of cos, if SGD48 could do the wonders of SHB99, i guess by now, the Ultima series would be out-of-stock....

but how come ur box says "Power Cushion"??....it isn't supposed to have rite.....or does that box belong to another shoe?

    Hi there,
I have just bought a pair of Yonex shoes but I am not certain about its quality.
The Model is Yonex Ultima 99 Pro.
    See pictures below:
What I suspect is that inside the right foot shoe, there is a label named: "Made in China - Official replica"
I'd like to know if it is a genuine or fake Yonex shoe?
Is there any official source from Yonex saying that this serie is genuine?
    Thanks.

the ultima series are probably "asian models only". they almost look exactly the same with the original models except that they don't have yonex's patented "power cushion" and midsole stabilizer features which are very critical especially for badminton. if you risk injuring your feet and knees, then the ultima series might be the shoe for you. . .

believe its available in countries where sunrise is the distributor. reckon sunrise's trying to increase their market share in the mid range market (competing against companies like proace, apacs, victor etc.)

the latest models in singapore are ultima 100 pro and ultima 65, clones of shb100ltd and shb65r.

Ultima is'nt fake nor is it a clone but I do not recommend it. SHB shoes are more expensive but more durable, safe & comfortable as they have lateral claw & power cushion incorperated.

btw, Ultima is alot cheaper than SHB, so if you are on a budget then consider Ultima but it is not very durable so expect it to break in around 6 months.
I got my Ultima for around $50 while SHB is somewhere around $200.

i will not recommend the ultima either since it lacks the safety features that are very critical for badminton.

i would rather be getting other reputable models with better standards and reasonable prices.

would reckon sunrise is producing these replicas to maintain their market share for the low/mid range of badminton shoes... competition is stiff with so many brands in the market...

I know this Ultima -_-x... My friend uses the Ultima99, the red one in the 3 ultima pictures. But he's orange.

    Shoe: Ultima 99

Looks: He don't care about look.

    Comfort: Fine

    Sole: Good grip

    Overall feel: Not Bad.

Durability : Bad. After just 3 months of use, the sole is no longer sticked to the shoes. I can't find the right words xD...

He prefers RS shoes compared to this. (Local Indonesia Brand).

If you were to buy a new shoes in this price range, I would recommend another brand. This ultima is priced about 24USD in Indonesia (Rp 240.000,-) and mine and my friends is 28USD (Rp 260.000,-). I would say with same price, Yonex will have no chance in Low - Mid shoes, compared to local brands. Happy choosing shoes :D:D:D:D.

I'm currently using an Ultima 99. It's just an OK shoe, nothing special. Durability is terrible, though. I had to superglue part of the sole after my first use.
