A few weeks ago I got my friend to order me an Arcsaber 5 online, It just arrived four days ago and I only got to use it twice..
I got myself into a very bad clash and my poor Arc 5 snapped at 5/7 o'clock.:crying:

    So I was wondering;
Does Yonex have some sort of warranty or policy that can help me replace this?

    Additional Info
    :
    - Bought it for about $170 Canadian Dollars.
    - Cone Code is 161192US
    - Not sure from what site my friend ordered it from - working on finding this out.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help me out. I've been browsing through these forums for some time now and I know many of you have good knowledge to point me in the right direction.
    - Thanks in advance

If it was from a clash then no, Yonex will not replace your racket.

It was a pretty bad clash... but yeah, the only clash. =(

I'm very frustrated at the moment because I've been saving up for so long and this was the first high-end racket I've ever owned..

Well, there goes all my Christmas and New Years money.. :crying:

He did say it was a very bad clash...if it was very serious, most rackets would not survive.

sorry buddy, yonex (and most other manufacturer's) warranties only cover manufacturing defects (ie. it breaks when stringing at low tensions <24 lbs). Does not cover negligence (it fell, it clashed, you sat on it).

Unfornately, it's not covered because that is physical damage. No manufacturer in general would cover something due to this nature.

Honestly, there is not much point when it's obviously showing signs of a clash. Yonex USA and Canada will not cover it in that aspect. They are more lenient when comes to things other than that.

Look on their website, it list is there. If you insist of trying to get a warranty, you can always try, but it would mainly be a waste of time for everyone including yourself since the answer is self implied. Can you take a picture of the racket to show us?

Well my logic behind it is this:
    - If I don't try; My chances are an absolute zero.
    - If I do try; There is still a very very small chance.

I think it is worth a shot.

Two other things. You need to send it back to the store it was purchased from as you cannot send it to Yonex directly. Second would be, you may need to pay for the shipment of the racket.l

A while ago, I dropped by a store and saw a broken racket. I happen to ask the people what happened, then I was told that someone (some of us happen to know who this person is), wanted to warrenty their racket and tried to explain that the racket broke by itself. Looking at the racket, it was obviously been clashed and it was broken in two spots. Honestly, the people who work ther and work for Yonex are not silly not to notice this. End result is, this person getting a letter from Yonex letter regarding the void of warrenty.

See if you can get a replacement racket at lower than retail cost. Definitely do not lie about what happened. It's an insult to the intelligence of the people involved to say it "broke by itself" when it is very clear that it broke from misuse (clashing with another racket).

Yep, I did not want to phrase it that way, but you pretty much explained what I would of said. In the case I mentioned, the individual in question omitted that it was clashed and insisted that it broke by itself when playing with it. This also made that person who broke the racket look silly behind people's back.

As you're in Canada I don't believe that you can get Yonex USA to warranty it direct, you'll have to go through the store that sold it to you (or your friend) in the US.

I also third the fact that you should tell the complete truth, hopefully they are sympathetic and will offer a lower cost replacement.

It turns out my friend ordered it from BadmintonAvenue. We're still working on contacting them.
