Great player but I felt like FHF bailed him out in the OG finals in Rio.

Horrible planning from the get-go. Before the OG...felt like he had a better chance in winning the XD gold :D

Well, apparently XD went out the window due to relationship mess up with ZYL. See her thread.

Human relationships seem to be complicated. YY/TYT is another example :D

Liu Cheng's big smashes could work well with Zhang Nan. A pair to watch?

Other than smash, Liu Cheng's skills are not World Class.

That's true. He doesn't have great touch below the net but he is quick around the back court in mixed.

Zhang Nan is a retired XD player. Was a good XD player, for sure.

That's a shame. Will miss watching him. He could've played on with Tang Yuanting or Tang Jinhua maybe.

I believe Zhang Nan won't retire from or drop out of XD, he's said he still want to do double duty in MD as well.

why not hong wei/zhang nan? hong wei is just a better liu cheng imo. powerful smash, better angle, better fromt court skills. only nerves might be questionable, but then it's usually his partner who cracks
