Sorry to be asking yet another question on grip, i'll keep it brief. My coach has taught me to use the v grip on overhead shots. This seems fine for the first few shots but then i notice that the racket has turned slighty, you can probably guess which way. No matter how much i try to keep to a perfect v grip it just seems to end up slightly of centre. My coach thinks this is bad and will halt my progres. I would appricate any comments anyone may have. When i say turned slighty i mean nowhere near a panhandle grip, just slightly. Thanks.

Should be OK to have slight panhandle grip AFTER you've hit the shuttle on a full swing f/hand overhead clear, drop, smash.

But remember to readjust the grip again when you prepare for the next overhead.

disadvantage is loss of pronation and thus power, tiredness, injury from forcing the racquet too much.

Won't halt your progress but it is a habit that would/could slow progress.
