A request beforehand :p: please don't embed every single clip. Just watched my Firefox memory usage balloon up to 900MB opening page 2 of the 2010 video thread  ...

Indeed, very interesting how Taufik played there ...
I don't think Taufik gave 100% for this game ...

as marc stated in an interview, he had clear tactics, could play them out well and brought some despair to taufik.
in his opinion this was a high class match.
i didnt see it - but i am highly interested in it as well :)

No offense to Marc, he is a great player (won a set Vs Lin Dan couple of months ago).
but in all honesty, everybody should think TH win thoses matches, right?

So I'm very interested to see TH's game in these match

He didn't expect to win either but with his tactics should at least had a fighting chance. I guess the main goal was to prolong the rallies and the longer they went on Taufik started running out of option/ideas ("despair" mentioned above ;))

Wow, Chris, that s fantastic work you put in! Makes me wish I was there.NTM looks like he has bulked up. He is a player who s still improving.Marc used to be so boring to watch because his tactics were so predictable. Now his tactics are more refreshing and his skills have broadened. It s great to see players who have been around and suddenly reach another threshold of challenge. These are dangerous MS because their opponents would not know what new weapons they have until matchplay.

Good one. Try to cover 2 courts at a time man. Lots of space wasted. ;)

I believe Taufik is more committed to play 100% than before. However when his opponents use tactics that limit his ability to play 100%, he does not seem to be able steer himself out of being frustrated. He said he lost to WZM in SPO recently because WZM s tactics restricted his movement and ability to play his A game.

Here's a a short video of Marc playing against Taufik. Since Marc is really good at defense, I could imagine Taufik running out of ideas because of the shuttle coming back all the time.

..good idea, thought about it but unfortunately they don't have a wide angle converter for the camera i was using..Also i would need to zoom in and out and i don't know how that one will pan out..
I thought as a "better" player (imo), Taufik should be able to adjust to whatever tactics are thrown at him from his opponent (in this instance Marc Zwiebler)..In other words, he should be able to get the control back from the other player; if not to win, at least forced a rubber game..Not being able to do that means, imo, he either has not much energy left to battle it out or his mind just wasn't fully in the game or he's injured (which was unlikely)..
