I was watching the 2004 MD Olympic finals (Kim Dong Moon/Ha Tae Kwon vs Lee Dong So/Yoo Yong Sung) It was in the second set. LDS and YYS were desperately trying to catch up. KDM and HTK were just too dominant. Both pairs were exchanging net shots and mid court shots, intentionally trying to avoid lifting. KDM lunged toward the left midcourt and then tried lifting the shuttle. But before the shuttle could even go high enough, LDS (I think) suddenly bursted into a high jump, well anticipating the lift, and then hit the shuttle downward, hitting KDM in his face. That must be the reason why Lee/Ko won this match. The Chinese Taipei players couldn't concentrate becase they were laughing their a@@ off. ;-)
