    Nanospeed 9900 2011 WC

Found this while looking at equipment on Maxsports. Looks like the usual repainting re-release that Yonex is doing nowadays, IMO doesn't look as nice as the original. "Same spec as the Nanospeed 9900"

Yeah, Looks cheap and low end to me. A step backwards for the 9900, pretty disappointing from Yonex.

original looks a lot better, I am not sure who thought that looked nice. They must be colour blind

I really look forward to seeing NOBODY use this at the WC in August - every NS9900 user I can think of has jumped ship!

I guess we should have seen it coming, it was the last of their top rackets to get a new paint job., I guess they called it the WC because no top players use it...

Maybe, just maybe, someone might wield it (WC NS9900 version) and win the WC? No?

Maybe, it might happen, if all their opponents have to retire after being sick looking at that racket:p I have a suspicion that no YY sponsored player will win this year.:)

    $250?!? I'll get two, then:p.

Lee Chong Wei will get the MS, but not with this thing. China will get the rest, obviously.

You can discern colours from that blurry pic? Or are you imagining a purple frame with green candystripes and the silver shaft :D?

    Jumped to what?

Off the top of my head...:)

Koo Kien Kiet - Arc 8DX,
    Tan Boon Heong - Ti-10 Mk3
    Carsten Mogensen - VT70

Raj Ousef might still be using the NS9900, not sure.

Lin Dan has MS in the bag...:)

a bit of both, you can make out enough to tell that the 1st colour was much nicer.:)

They have all rediscovered that the NS8000 isn't that bad a racket, and they would rather use that :p

Ah those, I thought there were some recent additions I was unaware of. So that still leaves Ouseph, Laybourn, Pedersen, Bach, Must, Russkikh, Zilberman, v. Dooremalen. Have seen a couple of ARC9FL's pop up though :D (most notably Sorokina of Russia, from ARC7)

Am eagerly awaiting the successor of the NS series actually, although these would be perfect to simply upgrade with nanopreme? Will at least be interesting to see a long handle/"short" shaft model made with the stuff ...

Aren't we all awaiting it eagerly...

The NS9900 is as close to a perfect racket as Yonex have ever come IMO. If it had a 9000X shaft, but stronger and thinner, it would have got 100/100 from me. Over to you, Nanopreme...:).
