I've used this Arc Saber 002 for about a month already but I've had suspicion that this might be a fake racquet do you guys mind giving it a look to see if it's fake or genuine? Thanks Also it would be great if I could get some advice on what to do about paint chips and what types of strings would be recommendable. Thanks again. Sorry about the bad images, white isn't exactly the greatest color to take a picture with. If any other information or picture is needed just let me know. Laser engraved code: 6157233 101204US The laser engraving doesn't look like laser engraving due to white paint covering it.
The racquet is fine. Just play till the string break. If you feel the tension is too low, restrung it with BG80 or BG68ti at 23lb should be fine.
Do you mind telling me how you are able to know if it's genuine or not? I'd like to know this for future reference. Thanks
yonex has tips on how to tell between fake and real on their website : http://www.yonex.com/badminton/counterfeit_products/
try to use your finger and sweep the cone code and shaft serial if it's rough then it is laser engraved, if not then it's just a sticker I think it is also fine, based on the pictures
why do you suspect it is fake? where did you buy it from? how much? unlikely that someone will be faking a low end model.
Well the only thing that's really bothering me is that the paint on the shaft chipped after a couple of weeks playing with it and also the laser engraved lettering is kind of throwing me off since i can't tell if it's laser engraved or not due to the paint on it.
you can do nothing about the paint chips.. one day it would chipped, it's matter soon or later the laser engraving is white colour right? that's what yonex do with their arcsaber 10 PG (the shaft and cone also in white) if it's black ink I would suspect it's a fake for the string, how about zymax 67 at 22-24lbs or maybe BG66 ultimax at 22lbs
