im right handed but i injured/sprained my left wrist. i can't rotate/pronate it at all. doctor says it's not fractured or anything but just some soft tissue damage. can i and should i still play badminton? i mostly play doubles.
I think that as long as you can reach out with your non-racket arm (left) and rotate in all directions at the shoulder without pain, you should be okay. Typically the non-racket arm is used for balance, so it is still possible for you to play even if you just tied your left arm against your body. As long as you are not diving or clenching your left hand, I imagine it won't be painful. However, when in doubt... always take time to rest and recovery. No point cutting your badminton "career" short with preventable injuries when you should be able to play until you're 50-60 years old.
If you can't resist it, just put a sign saying 'do not hit here'. or 'No entry'. lol. A light game should be ok. ;0
