    Hello..

I guess I'm a good amatuer player. I play badminton for recreational purposes about 2-3 times a week. I'm looking for a new racket and I need a little help.

I want a racket with a bigger sweet spot, greater power and more smashing capabilities. I play mostly singles but I do play doubles once in a while. I would prefer a slightly stiffer shaft. Also, what stringing tension should I get? I've never restring my rackets before.

I am currently using a Carbonex 8000 Ti. The Carbonex 8000 Ti has quite a small sweet spot, not to my liking. Before that, I was using the cheaper Yonex rackets like B-650 etc.

I was looking at the ArcSaber Z-Slash as well as APACS Lethal Series. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

err.. if you need bigger sweet spot then z-slash is a big no
z-slash is famous for having small sweet spot
try armortec 70MG would suit your description, big sweet spot, good power, but the shaft is medium (not stiff)

if you don't like it, normal isometric frame also offer bigger sweet spot than carbonex or B-650 (which is oval frame)
if you want to go for apacs lethal series, many people suggest lethal 70

Urm.. Do all ArcSabers have small sweet spots? or is just the Z slash?

why APACS lethal 70 over lethal 90? what are the differences?

    thanks

    it's just the Z-slash
the rest of arcsaber series have normal isometric frame.
most of arcsaber rackets have even balance BP (which is not really what you want)

usually head heavy racket would give you better smashing power

I'm not really sure the differences between the two, but many people prefer 70 over 90
if I'm not wrong it's actually two same racket but people prefer the 70 for some reason
there is also lethal 100 which has braided graphite on the shaft and frame which looks pretty awesome, however I cannot find any reviews about it

    Hey Avenger,
the armortec 70MG you mentioned seem to have a too heavy head. I've read many posts on this site where people mentioned that it's too head heavy. I'm looking at the ArcSaber 10. How does that racket fares?

    Hey nkdinz,
thanks for the tip. I can't seem to find his review on the Tantrum 300 though..

I would also like to ask a question..

What does 2U G4 means? What does the U stands for and what does the G stand for? What about the digits that follows the U and the G?

Also, where can I find a Peter Gade's ArcSaber 10 in Singapore?

    Thanks
