    hopefully I will get to see match 10 on tv court. Cordon vs Abian. A win for either of them pretty much secures a place at the OG next year. Cordon had been training lately with the Spanish team, so they will know how each other play. Going to say that Cordon will take it in two if he plays high intensity.

    Watch out for Pi Hongyan and Carolina Marin

    .
    For the Womens Singles, after Round 1 and 2, only two seeded players (out of 16) have been eliminated, namely;

    * Bae Youn Joo [8]......won by Pi Hongyan.......21-09, 15-21, 21-13 in 59 minutes.
    * Eriko Hirose [15].......won by Carolina Marin...21-23, 21-16, 21-16 in 61 minutes.

    Watch out for Pi Hongyan and Carolina Marin. :):):)

    The Chinese ladies will have a tough time tomorrow

    WSX vs Porntip Buranaprasertsuk
    JYJ vs Juliana Schenk
    WYH vs Inthanon Ratchanok

    I think at least one of the 3 Chinese ladies will lose tomorrow.

    WX should have no problem against Petya Nedlcheva

    I expect more upsets at R16 as most of the player's standard is about the same !

    Only 5 pairs and 1 MS player are left in R16 for Team INA and prospect does look grim in all the sectors, with the exception of perhaps XD.

    XD
    Lee Sheng-Mu/Chien Yu-Chin vs Tantowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [2] - yesterday was just the warm-up match for Towi/Butet. Today, they will face their real test in the TPE pair. They should beat Lee/Chien and progress to the QF.

    WD
    Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii
    [8] vs Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari - Mel/Grace are seeded 8th, so, they should at least fulfill their seeding and progress to the QF.

    Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati [12] vs Selena Piek/Iris Tabeling - with the withdrawal of Ha/Kim [6] and the defeat of Chien/Cheng [2], Vita/Nadya look good for the Bronze Medal! Hopefully, they will deliver a medal in the WD this year!
    MD
    Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra
    [8] vs Mads Conrad-Petersen/Jonas Rasmussen [16] - AG/Alvent are in a much better form than early this year when they lost to the Danes. I hope they can secure a QF spot.

    Chai Biao/Guo Zhendong [11] vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [7] - this is a stern test for Bona/Ahsan, having lost in all their previous matches to the CHN pair. If they can beat the CHN, it will mean quite a progress.

    MS
    Simon Santoso [13] vs Peter Gade [3] - can Simon repeat his victory over Peter early this year? I still think Peter Gade is on course for yet another SF showdown with Lin Dan.

    All in all, I expect 4 pairs and at most 5 to enter QF.

    Watch out for Lee Hyun Il. With his experience and not so good performance from Lin Dan. He can bring the biggest upset of the tournament. :)

    At QF of KOR SS Premier last January, Simon def.PG straight-sets then PG took revenge in Sudirman Cup.

    Agree, they will face either HKG or IND pair at QF, good chance to advance into last four.

    I agree, Lee Hyun Il is way more dangerous than Park Sung Hwan.

    We'll see what happens later today :)

    I think Lee Hyun Il [12] will find it difficult to defeat Lin Dan [2] today. But we'll never know. :):):)

    If LHI wins today, I think Du Pengyu [8] should be waiting for him at the Quarter-Finals. :D:D:D

    jjs still injured with the wrapping on his legs. Advantage China. ;)

    If LD knees buckle, then LHI will have the chance. ;)
