REUTERS/Dmitry Astakhov/RIA Novosti/Kremlin "Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, left, and Prime MinisterVladimir Putin prepare to play badminton during an informal meeting at thepresidential residence at Gorki, outside Moscow June 11, 2011." By MSN.ca, August 11, 2011 3:26 PM Sorry if this has been posted already, did a search and couldn't find anything for Vladimir Putin. Just thought I would share the story. I logged onto the internet and the 1st story that popped up was about Putin and listed there was badminton so I just had to read more into it. This is what I saw haha.
Is Canada two months behind? Think I posted the accompanying vid in the "prof. players and their rackets thread" There has been a similar story a year or a few years ago as well ... If you picture them doing something decent I would strongly advise to NOT look up the vid But better to have them play it than slate it
Oh haha I have been off the grid for a while with all the traveling my bad for reposting it, Just saw it today.
Oh I don't even know if a news article was posted here for this one (the previous time there was). Just surprised it was only caught up two months after the fact by MSN I only posted what rackets they were using here as I happened to catch it on a russian news site: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...eir-racquets?p=1713237&viewfull=1#post1713237
Doesn't Russia (and a few other eastern European countries) have a lot of professional players now? There seem to be a lot on the European circuit. The coolest badminton uniform I've ever seen was the all red CCCP hammer and sickle Soviet Union uniform at the All England. That looked truly awesome.
