actually the answer is same with: why women did not work as construction worker?

because jump smash use lots of energy and woman don't have this
men have more energy that's why they can do lots of jump smash, even so jump smash really drains their energy so they need to use it wisely (you don't want to be out of gas in the middle of the match)

All god players are guided by their coaches. Since conventional style of play is taught women are not trained to do jump smash. If the player is innovative they can execute jump smashes.Indian player Aswini Ponnappa does jump smash in a good manner. I think energy is immaterial.

Be careful what you say! There are female marathon runners and other athletes out there who have more energy than 99% of men. And remember that women's singles matches in badminton tend to last longer than men's singles...

For jump smashes I think it has something to do with the proportion of fast twitch and slow twitch muscle fibres.

There you go. I think this is the answer. WD lasts longer. Thus, they need to preserve their energy. I see women jump smash, just not as high as compared to Kido or Jung or LD.

I think the risk of injury probably outweighs the long term quality of life.

There was some research published in the medical literature, that the structure of female knees are more vulnerable to tear/injury compared to male, jumping increases this risk. (If I'm not mistaken, it's owing to the angle of the knee and hip/pelvis-nature's design for childbirth)

Probably, as a precaution by the athletes and coaches.

*** differences in proximal control of the knee joint.

Preferential quadriceps activation in female athletes with incremental increases in landing intensity.

Are we talking about the top level professionals? Singles only, or Doubles? Assuming your observation above is accurate (and I'm not disputing it, just don't know for sure), do you think it's because they don't use jump smash more? In other words, if they use jump smash more, like men's singles, perhaps their matches would be about the same length as men's singles...

Is BWF intending to slow down womens games?

    .
Some say that men players cover the court faster because they wear shorts - for faster and more efficient movements.

BWF is now intending to tell women players to not to wear shorts, but skirts. Is BWF intending to slow down their games? :D:D:D

Can we imagine seeing female Badminton players flying up in the air with their skirts flying up and about when doing their jump smash?:rolleyes::rolleyes:
