Wow! Just finished watching Adcock/Bankier win over #1 seed Zhang/Zhao 16-21, 21-19, 21-19 round 1!
Bankier was amazing in the front court, and in the last third of the rubber set, she just singlehandedly steamrolled over CHN.

I don't think chris adcock is any bad...he is talented....but he needs to mature in his game more...they are still relatively young...and european players usually peak at an older age...so i guess there is more to come from this pair...imogen definitely reminds me of gail back in her heyday....

Isn't Robert Blair the only scottish alternative?

yeah you'd think so, at least until the commonwealth games. For Adcock I'd imagine it's either Wallwork or Gabby White.

There is a guy the same age as her called Watson Briggs. They played together at junior level. Not sure why he doesn't play professionally but from what I can gather he's good enough. With the Commonwealth games being held in Scotland in 2014 it's possible they will pair up again. Either that or it'll be her and scabby Blair. There are also some younger doubles players coming up. Paul Van rietvelde could partner her also. Both Watson and Paul played in the previous commonwealth games for Scotland.
Think Imogen and Watson won the Scottish Nationals together this year actually.
