Shuttlecock with a very Heavy Cock!!

Hi, I bought on ebay 2 tubes of DHS 401 ($25) - it turns out the cock is very very heavy and it flies very fast and long. Is there anything I can do to reduce the speed ? I have tried to bend out the alternate feather it does slow it down a bit but the cock is still very heavy. Is there anything else I can do. I am thinking of putting a red hot iron skewer right thru the cock in the hope that it will burn some of the cock out (from the inside). Any suggestion are welcome - trying to save and continue my passion.

Hi, heavy cork usually means fast speed, if you feel it too heavy , you'd better stop to use it as your muscle will be hurt easily.
