I'm going to receive some money from my school very soon. S$1000 in fact.... for taking up and sucessfully completing the Singapore National Science Technology Board (A*Star in short) project on Real Time Embedded Robot Vision. I was wondering should I : a) Buy some Yonex JP rackets b) Buy some Yonex Jaspo apparel c) Buy a Yonex Japan shoe. d) Buy some Yonex SP rackets e) All of the above f) Don't waste money. Better off saving it! g) Donate part/all to BF
I think it'd really depends on who you are. Consider, are you stable financially? If you don't have an emergency find now would be a good time to start one. I've got a long distance bill for $1200 once. (actually five times over $1000. Bell sent me an $100 gift certificate at Xmas as a "thank you"!) As you can imagine by debt is sky-high. If you're financially secure then do what you find most worthwhile.
I say go with a new pair of shoes, japso cloths, and a racket. Gotta spread the love. THen just save the rest on energy drinks You'll never have to quit! BRL.... how did you get a bill for $1000 dollars...?
long distance calls are very expensive. At least Canada has cheap rates though... a friend from Cali called me once and ended up with a $300 bill... for the one call! My phone bill hasn't been over $100 for 9 months now so it's getting much better.
Man have you heard of calling cards over there? For me in Oz, I call my friend in California for 5c (p for you non-Aussies) a minute meaning a $20 calling card is good for 400 mins which is a lot of talking. Which reminds me to go buy another one for the month. She joked that our friendship is only costing about $20 a month each (as opposed to going out, dinners, etc), I suggested she was cheap, she didn't take that well
Erm.. put Yodums name on it.. put Yodums address on it, and finally put a stamp on it and send it to Yodums......... And he'll spend the money for ya.
