Desa Park City Club Badminton

Hi,

I just moved in, looking to join group currently playing in Desa Park City. Intermediate player, used to play regularly 2-3x a week until recently.

Would like to play at Desa Park City one day. Heard you will need a resident pass to play there. Wonder anyone would be so kind to spare me a day pass...LOL.

I think yes, you need to be a resident before you can join the club. I rent over there, so the landlord sponsor me. Still, there's a monthly membership fee for the club. Can also bring guest, have to pay RM15/ hour if I'm not mistaken.

Hmmmhhh.... RM15 per hr. Expensive, I could play 2 1/2 hrs session with RM15 outside....LOL.

Too expensive but I wouldn't mind to play at least once to feel the environment. If you found people to play, just let me know. Hopefully you could take me in as your guest. Cheers.

yup rm15 is sure 2 xpensive....more than double of wat outside has 2 offer...

I think ADI is ok since he got the resident pass, RM15 per hr not applicable. Just need to pay for the shuttles. Like that still ok lor....LOL.

Where do you play Kenny? I don't mind joining from time to time, although my objectives is to ensure that I used the club as I already paid the monthly fee

I also don't mind pay for just one time to visit the facility. Desa Park City is consider high standard housing area or community. They have a club house which is rare. Property there at least RM500K and above now, even for a condo 1100 sq. ft. International School, medical center, Jusco Max Value, park, jogging track, football field and etc. Fantastic place...

Just hope the badminton court is as prestige as their other facility.

Hi Alan, I gave up trying to find fellow members that want to play regularly. The club is also not helpful, ie there's no way for members to contact each other. They're most interesting in offering lessons.

Most who came there are family with young children. While I'm not an advance player, I play regularly these past few months. I don't mind playing with you but If you are beginner, I don't think I would enjoy the game if it's just the 2 of us. We gotta find more people.

Hi Adi,I got in touch with Vineeth and he is keen for weekend games. He said there's a regular group playing on Thu evenings. Maybe you can approach them or get Vineeth to rope you in. Thursday's my regular beer night so I can't join. As a beginner I may find it boring too playing a more advanced player but if we want to form our own group, we will have to start with 2 players first.
