The Stickman's trip to SoCal included three sessions of baddie action. I had a blast with good buddies:

    (1) Calabasas Community Center with a friendly bunch of players
    (2) SGVBC 2 with Dink, Johnny, and the Dinko Kids
    (3) OCBC with Dink, Gauva, Johnny, Dinko Kids and Polar Bear (aka Vtec101)

Unfortunately, the good dudes of SoCal are camera shy and no photos were taken as a group :crying:.

More details will come along but the Stickman is researching a baddie trip to LV and SF . . .

Flight tickets seem very reasonable from LAX to LV . . .

if you fly into SJC, it is only 10 mins from my house!

SFO/OAK however, is really far... shuttles are in the region of $35-40/trip. :( if you arrive/leave at non-office hours, i can come pick you up.)

    (0) Arrival
    (1) Baddie
    (2) Dinner
    (3) Sleep
    (4) Departure the next day!

wait, how about the next day, and then the day after??

you can pretty much arrive anytime if you arrive at SJC. it is 10min from home and 5 mins from work.

SFO/OAK... much harder, 30 miles of rush hour traffic even at 6/7pm. :(

Here is a short report of my SoCal baddie sessions:

    (1) Calabasas Community Center

    http://maps.google.com/maps?q=calab...=0,0,1461988806124231642&z=12&vpsrc=6&iwloc=A

    http://www.ahccc.org/

The courts are your normal community center wooden type. Lighting is the typical large halogen projector types that either blind you if you look directly upward or loose track of the bird if you move to the wrong place. The players are very recreactional but friendly. Do not expect very high level of competition. In case one runs out of birds, LABC birds are available from Raymond.

    (2) SGVBC 2

First off, this is a much better facility than SGVBC 1. The location, Ponoma, is also much nicer than El Monte. Dan recommended the Stickman and Stickman's bro to have a good time on Saturday evening, after a long drive from Hollywood to Orange County. Naturally we took up Dan's offer. When we entered the front door, Dan was busy stringing up a client's racket. Long story short (long chat), we got to play about half an hour later. Due to crappy physical fitness, the Stickman and his bro got an awesome A$$ whipping from the Dicko kids. Eventually Johnny and Dan joined in. It was another hugely fun evening.

    (3) OCBC

The good thing about OCBC is the uber nice flooring. The Stickman didn't have knee braces at the time, but the knees didn't hurt as much as other wooden floor gyms. The bad is the dark lighting. On many occasions, I lost track of the bird.

We had more baddie buddies this time. Besides the ones from SGVBC 2, Polar Bear and Guava showed up. Dinner at Lazy Dog followed. Too bad no group photos were ever taken. The whole time was a blast. Many thanks to Dan for organizing this get together.
