Kuala Lumpur: Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan may be the two most dominant and recognisable names in world badminton today.

But their status as the top two men's singles shuttlers could change after next year's London Olympics, said Danish legend Morten Frost.

The four-time All-England champion, who coaches his country's Under-19 squad, is predicting that China's Wang Zhengming and Denmark's Viktor Axelsen will be the next-generation stars.

"Many top players have indicated their intention to quit or slow down after London 2012," said Frost, 53, in an interview with Malaysian newspaper The Star.

"We will see new faces stamping their mark after that. Currently, two players - Wang Zhengming and Viktor Axelsen - look quite promising. They will be stars in their own era."

His prediction has been strengthened by rumours that Lee will be marrying Wong Mew Choo, his long-time girlfriend and former top-10 player, in a grand ceremony in Genting Highlands next year.

The world No.1's father, Lee Ah Chai, said they are planning to settle down after 11 years' courtship, according to Malaysian media reports. And they are likely to choose a suitable date after the London Games.

But Lee, who will turn 29 in October and Wong, 28, have denied the report and refused to comment further.

Wong, who retired in April, is now a coach at the Bukit Jalil Sports School.
