Hi everyone, I've managed to get tickets for the final next year at the NIA Birmingham. They are in Block 10 (lower) row J. They look like very good seats according to the court layout, I know some of you have been before so what do you recknon - am I going to get a good view? Cheers.
You should get a great view from there. Been on finals day a couple of times and have always had good views. Have started going to earlier days now so I see a greater variety of players.
Hi coachmac, are you a member of BadmintonEngland, or is the sale open to the public already? regards
Tickets are only available to BE members at the moment. I think public sale begins on Monday 5 September.
He must be a BE member as it goes on sale to general public next week 5th September. There was priority booking for BE members from 29th August. Kindest regards, -Ajay- Quote of the Day Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together
Hi Guys, thanks for the fast reply. As i saw that the event was "online" at ticketfactory.com, i wondered if it was open to public already. thanks again
It's my first time, just got lucky with the seats I guess. Had I not bagged such good tickets I would have visited in the earlier rounds and bought 'roving' tickets for the same reasons as you - to see a variety of play.
Hi Guys, Have been given the opportunity to go to finals just for travel costs by a friend, does anyone know what time they usually finish? I've only previously been to the SF on a saturday and know they finish a bit earlier on the sunday.
Last year's finals started at 12 noon, lasted about 5 hours. But if all matches go the distance, you could expect 6 and half hours.
Hi Guys, anyone know much racket stringing they do at the NIA All england? I'm guessing they will have different stringers to the ones I saw in the world champ in London. Let me know. Thanks!
It's the same team of stringers actually (perhaps a few more) I know a few of them from my local area, they do it in the arena next to the courts though, so you're less likely to be watching next to a player
Hi, thanks for reply. So can we get them tos tring also do you know roughly the cost. At worlds it was so cheap any string + strung all for if I could remember roughly £10. But my mate who went All england 2011(last year) said it was over £20, therefore I'm suspecting different stringers. Is it possible to find out? TY
If I were you, don't string your racket there... It is really expensive! About £20+ I can't remember what string it was but it was so expensive now I get my strings strung for £5 from a close friend and I use my own strings.
Thanks for the input!! Yeh, too bad I missed out on World champ stringers.. Oh well! I'm really looking forward to All England, See you guys there if your gong!!
Have you watched stringfest on YouTube it has someone restringing a racket and it has a relation to badmintoncentral and another forum. But the person stringing the racket I think I met him at the world championship
