Hi guys.. I'm using a Li Ning GP62 replacement grip on my racket.. Recently, I've been getting blisters on my thumb. Is it the grip's fault? or is it my technique? Can someone recommend me a replacement grip?? I don't like overgrips though. During play, I don't sweat as much as my badminton session friends do. So i'm not looking for towel grips. I'm looking for very tacky, anti slip and very comfortable grips. The durability of the grip isn't an issue though..
Rkep elite G09 grips without any reservations. The best and cheapest! But the tackiest colours are red, pink, white, green. Don't get black or blue.
I second that ! My new current setup is : Bare Wood + HSS + RKEP G09L (either Green or Yellow) .... and i love it ! (just in case you're wondering what 'HSS' is : http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...e-via-Heat-Shrink-Sleeve-method-....-DIY-Pics)
If you dont want blisters and want it yo be comfortable towel grips are the best. The Li Ning towel grip is the best towel grip i used so far...
Google RKEP. It's an Ebay store with very good customer service. Check it out. I bought a bag, grips, clothing from them. They have a very high customer satisfaction rating.
Here's the link to the RKEP 'Grips' section of his Ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/RKEP-racket-...51360011&_sid=317386751&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 You can also email Eric at : RKEPracket@gmail.com
RKEP has the Ultimate (best tack of any grip I've tried from any brand), Power Master (slightly less tacky but excellent "slide traction" - stops the handle moving up and down) and the Super Soft (great tack again, and the softest, most comfortable feel - should stop blisters). I'd recommend my own setup: Super Soft with a Resinpad (which can make any grip tacky beyond reason).
Hello, I'm back with some updates.. I tried on APACS Super PU Replacement Grip. They were very much tackier and way softer than the Li Ning one I used last time. It wasn't as absorbent though. Even with that APACS grip, I still had a blister on my thumb. Now I'm left wondering whether it's the tackiness that's causing a lot of friction between the grip and my thumb. With that, i've decided to give towel grips a shot. Any towel grips to recommend? Thick and comfy ones that are easily obtainable. Also, can someone share a video on how to put on a towel grip professionally? Thanks a lot!
