I have a Yonex NS300 which states that the recommended string tension is from 17-22 lbs. Can I string it higher than 22 lbs? (Perhaps 24 lbs?)

yes you can, the recommended string tension purpose is only for warranty
so if you strung it more than 22lbs, your warranty will void

Thanks, I asked this question because shopkeeper warned me not to string above the recommended tension and he would not be responsible if the racket snaps/breaks.
