i think he was saying that his friend sold him the racket for $100.00
which is higher then the market price. Not $100 more then the market price. :D

Without knowing all the details it's hard to say.

    Talk to him.
Try to find out if he's actually cheating or just made a mistake.
Did he buy the racquet himself or get it as a present ?
Did he buy it from a really expensive shop and doesn't realise that they are cheaper elsewhere?
Did he initiate the sale, or did you borrow his racquet and say "wow, I like that, do you want to sell it?"

    and/or

Blame yourself and learn an important financial lesson.
You have access to the internet, why didn't you know how much an MP88 costs?
Was it a spur of the moment purchase?
spur of the moment purchases are usually (but not always) a mistake

If he's a good friend, you should be able to sort it out.

W/o knowing what kinda currency u referring to, I will say:

    1. what kinda market price u comparing to? A super sale price and average market price could be very different (currency counts a lot).

    2. What condition of the rackets? Both ur friend's and the "market" u reffering to. If both are used, the condition coudl be very different. Say, almost brand new vs. half way dying.

    3. Why not do a research before using the $$$? Since MP88 is such a "hot topic". Very easily to find out the features and price.

    4. Is that possible u ask for discount, if he really "rip u off"? This depends on how close u 2, and whether he did this on purpose or not.

    get better friends?

If he said that he gave you a good price or that the racquet has good performance for the money then he's obviously lying so get him on that.
