That picture doesn't do her justice. Here's a better one and she's not old. She's only 28 (1976).

she was born 29 October 1976 .won 1998 Asia game's women singles title.She beat YeZhaoying and GongZhichao in that time.

She is the best Japan female player since Hiro Yuki who won Ladies Single Title in All England 1969, 1974, 1975 and 1977 and was runner-up in 1972.

i dunno, i don't think the differences in the two photos should be attributed to Yonekura's actual face as such...if you look at the rest of the photos you can clearly see the general texture and quality of the first pic is much worse than the second pic anyways

I just saw her in the world championship 03 final quarter video (thx to bigredl), and she looked way out of form, not that i know anything about it, but its almost like she gave up after the first game against Tjiptawan. Kinda wierd how she lost so many points on the drops and such. Also, from the video, she looks pretty tall, taller than me at least :P
