How to put on replacement grip as overgrip

Hi I use a Yonex with a G5 grip. Since I'd like it slightly thicker I want to put the karakal PU which is a replacement grip as an over grip. Am I suppose to not overlap with an overgrip?

With a 1/3 overlap i get these spiraling "bulges" which makes it sort of unsightly especially for my other racket's towel grip.

Also do you recommend i overlap it with a thin overgrip to remove the bulges and/or to help with super sweaty hands?

Replacement grip is not equal to over grip... Replacement grip only fit to replace the inner grip because of the thickness. If you want thicker for handling, just make more rounds on the overgrips. For your info: i using yx super grap
