Tine Baun will need to be double-quick tomorrow against that killer-shark Wang Xin! :D
Or maybe hope this is one of WX's rare off-days... :(

Juliane got her revenge with CSC but she will be up against a fresh WSX who, current form shows, will make her run a marathon for every point! Good luck, Juliane! Use the Red Bull wisely!

Wang Yihan faces a Saina who appears a bit unsure/insecure of herself; this could be either merciless (merciful? :D) and swift, or all-out war. BCers love blood! We want all-out war!!!! :D:D:D

Sho-Man Sasaki v/s the original Showman! :D The odds favour LD, but I'll bet Sho wasn't told this!! I think LD will want to attack from the first point and finish in straight games; look for lotsa mind games.

I'm really looking forward to CL v/s LHI. I'm pulling for the old fox to give the young pup a lesson...

Du Pengyu's had a great run. Will this be the end of Peter's run here? Or will the tables turn? Only Peter knows the answer to this one; and he isn't telling! :D

Blair/White are much higher in the BWF rankings at 24 than Jwala/Diju (ranking: 56), but try telling that to the Indian pair! :D But again, its a new day, a new game, anything is possible!

The MD segment has some frighteningly good games coming up! I guess I'll be up all night! :D:D:D

All the no 1 seeds are current World Champions. So far, only LD and FHF/CY was pushed to rubber. I think today Sho Sasaki may upset Lin Dan if LD plays like yesterday match.

After yesterday's close call against HH (and I mean it was that close), LD will want to boss SS around right from the opening bell. Expect LD to be at full concentration.

Juliane v WSX could break the record for marathon matches. Juliane will have to play as error-free as possible as WSX will try to gain most of her points from opponent mistakes. Tough one to call but maybe WSX's new (less than flattering) hair do will shock Juliane into letting a few points go. That will be enough to be the difference.

Other than KKK/TBH, all the Malaysian players were washed out in round 2 of the main draw.
Hopefully, KKK/TBH could upset JJS/LYD and they have done this before unlike against Ko Sung Hyun/Yoo Yeon Seong. The new mens doubles' coach may have a trick or two up his sleeve.

    I couldn't help but notice:
    They've muzzled WSX!!!
Can she sue for cruelty or denial of basic human rights or something?
Or is her case outnumbered 6billion:1 ? :D:D:D

You know the story of Samson... cut his hair and he lost his strength.

The story of WSX... cut her hair and she lost her shriek :D

That haircut is a prime example of what NOT to do.
At certain angles she looks like one of those characters out of a Mickey Mouse book.
Or maybe from The Lion King...

But maybe it IS a secret weapon after all...
Her opponents lose from trying not to look her way too often. If they do, they'll end up on the ground -- shaking with uncontrollable laughter. :p We'll know for sure today; Juliane won't be able to keep a straight face...

Wang Shixian: you're a champion badminton player, but you need to change your stylist PDQ!!!! Get the Fedex TV ad guys to help you; please!!!

Jwala/Diju used to rank in the top 10 before Diju injury. They have not been playing for a few months I think

You're right! Diju got back into competitive play only just recently... good to see he hasn't lost his edge.

    Predicted QF outcomes

Based on the strength and team tactical matters, my very prediction for the QF outcomes are:
(only winners to be named below)

MS: LD - CJ - CL - DPY (all Chinese matters in SF)
WS: WYH - JYJ - WX - WSX (all Chinese matters in SF)
    MD: CY/FHF - KSH/YYS - JJS/LYD - MB/CM
    WD: WXL/YY - BYX/ZQX* - CWH/CYC - CS/PP
    XD: ZN/ZYL - JFN/CP - YYS/JYN - VD/JG

*BYX/ZQX wins for tactical purpose so ZYL may fully focus in XD.

Leaving only the fierce fights to MD & XD sections in SF!

Let's see if above can reach 75% hits :D
