It was nicknamed racquet condom because it protect the racquet from BANGING the other racquets in the bag (I really don't know what racquets do when we are not watching them). The reason racquet bought in JP come with them because YY ASSume badminton player usually has a bigger bag to carry their racquets. So they do not need the thermo cover but the cloth bag to protect them from paint chip.

Received my NR700FX 3UG today, my first racket since my nearly 20 year old Carbonex 16 which I had to retire. The racket feels solid and came strung with BG-65, will get to have a proper play with it tomorrow.
Purchased mine from a dealer in Sydney, Calibre Australia for AU$229.95.

hi there, thinking of buying the nanoray series racket, but want to know where does the racket stand in the badminton racket chart. is it head heavy, repulsion? ...or head light repulsion?. any one can help, dont want to buy unless certain for my play.

had a full day with the nanoray fx. not quite my cup of tea. its got a funny frame. head light, and a weird overall stiffness. the cross section of the head also seems more than other rackets. its good for netplay, not any better than others though. i found it difficult to generate power for clears. Feel is good but its no z-slash.
wierd thing is that it plays a lot like my carlton vapor trail tour. so, if the nanoray fx is your thing, save a few bucks and get the VTT instead.
my 2c.
