Funny, I was thinking the same thing!
My conection was - Ray, wasn't that the name of one of the blokes in Brokeback Mountain?
I still want one though. Mostly because I'm a sorry a§§ Yonex sect member. I'm in the Apple sect as well, so i guess I'm an easy target.
But I have to say that the racket I'm waiting for is the true successor to cab 20.

How do you take back a thumbs up
? "Super head light"?? No thanks ...
NR800 should be in the pipelines first anyway to succeed the NS8000 which I thought was discontinued based on the on sales in UK but is alive and happy in the JP catalogue?

Nano Ray series is a new version of Nano Speed series IMHO
just like Voltric series is the new Armotec series CMIIW

Indeed - the NS8000, despite going through two livery iterations, now cannot be had in UK (which is a shame - it was a cracking all-rounder, and far more deserving of life than that joke of an NS7700).
My money's on the NR900 being launched at the All England next year, so I'd put the NR800 in time for the Malaysia or Korea Open - probably the former, their team still being sponsored by YY.

^I'm hoping so - if the NS9000X had an Achilles Heel it would have been the shaft's brittleness (and, to a lesser extent, the frame cross section, which wasn't fast enough for my liking) - the NS9900 addressed both issues, but lost 5-10% of the stiffness.

Seeing as they never do a big release at Malaysian or Korean Open and the 9000 came out a year after the 8000, an NR800 perhaps with NanoPreme shaft is a more likely Feb/March release candidate (VT80?) like the 8000 was as well (March/April 2005). The NR500 is slated for mid December, "in time" for MO/KO ...
Just bumped into the RRP in €: 179,95 (store price €139,95) for the 700's (and some highres versions of the total shot catalogue pics
) ... but let's make the cloner fakers work a little harder.

If they use the same frame construction as the VT80 on the top-end Nanorays I will be a very happy camper - the VT80 hoop is ridiculously strong. The Nanopreme... my jury's still out - it may have caused that "jerkiness" in the VT80 swing (but I was very taken with the thin shaft).
