Betting odds . I wonder how bookmakers (of Sports Betting Agencies) decide/calculate their betting odds? .
2011 China Masters: Semi-Finals (Matches of the Day) . The best 'Matches of the Day' to follow could be; * Mens Singles.....Chen Long [3]-vs-Peter Hoeg Gade [2] * Mens Doubles....Cai Y./Fu H.F. [1]-vs-Ko S.H./Yoo Y.S. [4] * Mens Doubles....Jung J.S./Lee Y.D. [3]-vs-M. Boe/C. Mogensen [2] * Mixed Doubles...Xu Chen/Ma Jin [5]-vs-J. Fischer/C. Pedersen [3] .
did you go to a football or basketball match and demand the coach to pick the team you wanted to watch? or to a cinema to watch a comedy that make you laugh? if not, ask for your money back!
It is not fixed matches.. Just like in F1 when two drivers from the same team have a commanding lead, they usually don't try to make stupid moves to overtake the team-mate.
Watch only their first game . Actually, we know how their CHN team/players decide - The player(s) who lose the first game is/are to give the match to his/her/their teammate(s). Therefore, watch only their first game. .
The only way to check . A way to check - is to find out how many 3-games matches are there between CHN-vs-CHN matches? .
The first Mens singles SF played will be Peter Gade v/s Chen Loooong The outcome of that match may have some influence on the outcome of the second Mens singles SF between LD and CJ. However, my feeling is that regardless of the first match (i.e. even if Peter wins) the second match will be played freely. The reason should be found in the head-to-head results over the past year or more. Also: Even If Chen Jin wins the event, he will not break into the top 4. OTOH, LD and CL can consolidate their positions in the top 4 by going all out to accumulate more points.
There is no use in only two in the top 4 for Olympic qualifying so better make use of this SF appearance by CJ And the early session will be the international TV session ... 6AM madness
A Aiming for that 50% again eh ? sweet! 9-1 on my picks today, only losing on that incredulous loss by the TPE wd ... but I guess you could have seen that self destruction coming. No way the JPN girls actually took the match rather than being handed it. stiff competition http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/102544-Pick-A-Winner-(PAW)-146-%E2%80%93-CHINA-MASTERS-SS-2011?p=1754542#post1754542 (majority of PAWers did well anyways today)
Well, well, well! The only discipline where the Chinese have only 1 representation in the Semis, is the XD! And its up the #3 seeds Joachim/Christinna to stop #5 seeds Xu Chen/Ma Jin tomorrow, to prevent any chance of China making a clean sweep.
In the first session, if JPN WD fails to win(and I think they will as the better pair of Maeda/Suetsuna already beaten by this young CHN pair), then we might see unfinished contest in the evening session. Maybe WXL/YY will be forced to give up. Also, hope Gade will win for a more interesting final tomorrow.
well, statistically more than any other countries. All of the matches between teammates for India, Korea, Japan and Denmark were lasted 2 games or less.
MD also. But I think MD is still CY/FHF to lose. They nearly lost in round 2 but that Korean pair(Kim/Shim) is playing better than LYD/JJS right now. Ko/Yoo may be the champion if they win today semifinal. The more interesting will be Japan Open next week. The 'so far' unbeatable new Korean pairing. They won USA and Canada open without much problem because none of the top 8 pairs competing
