Really? The number one were getting defeated..
And (almost) everyone think that is a "drama"

I was thinking the drama should be yesterday.

This will give a chance to those 2 young girls to gain more ranking points and qualify for the Olympics so that the Chinese can have the max # of players for each event. Right now China has only two WD in the top 25. This new pair could be the 3rd one. (Yunlei Zhao is listed twice in top 25 as she played with different partners)

IMHO, QT/ZYL is more than enough to accompany WXL/YY
AFAIK, even QT/ZYL is still unbeatable by non Chinese player.. please CMIIW

    or ...
CHN do not want other countries have more than 1 WDs. JPN has 3 pairs. And they need to put other pair in top 8

    Too much conspiracies..I hate it.

Anyway, I admire those Chinese young player. They are promising to watch in the following years.
Beating 2 top JPN pairs. I think it is not easy job.

always usefull indeed to have a third pair in qualifying position as backup in case of serious injury. Obviously they are already good enough to be there on merit. WXL could very well have been injured already going in and tried to see if they could win in two sets. But after losing the first it meant another two sets to go was too much ...
Speculating is perfectly justified as long as LYB is in charge , after all he admitted orchestrating the 2004 OG SF.

I didn't quite say ban, but I wouldn't put him as an umpire in a final game, probably as a service judge. But I hope he did apologize to the Koreans. I have been in that situation before, and I have made a bad call, I went up to the player afterwards and apologized.

looked hopeful for JYJ at one point. but WSX won't say die.

JYJ on the other hand has started to look tired.

    21-16 first game.

nobody will ever know if its a mistake or on purpose but the fact that the bad call was made in a crucial stage of the game and he is siding the China team. makes the situation hard to believe its fair. That's why its good not to have an umpire from the same country for players.

even GC is saying are we going to have another pull out.

2 out of 3 chn-chn finals are a bit too much.
