Thread: mystery racket

Curious if anybody can figure out this racket besides it's on the dining room that Fidget
loves and envies.
nice control and feel
not stiff so can be strung higher
Was enjoying playing with the Victor MX80 but this now has my attention. Like
the 80 for backhands still better.
Very interesting racket for doubles as well suited.

A Kawasaki Spider. not sure which specific model though.

Not much of a mystery - you can clearly read "Spider 9000" on the shaft...

nope both incorrect answers not made by Kawasaki would be too easy.

...[Doh, original post outdated by ormy reply. Sudden edit:]....
So ormy4, tell us a little more about your new crush? What do you like about this Spider and where did you get it?
(PS Did you still want some of those other multi-legged creatures from out East?)

A Panda in camo

Is this it?
It is a woven racket and has the word spider in it.
The picture is about as clear as a spider who needs four pairs of glasses.
...oh dang, it's just the Kawasaki again.... arghh.
Give us another hint, Pat!

Hmmm Think Kwun will find the outcome interesting since I believe he really enjoyed
the original. The name on it means nothing by the way. Weight on it is dry is about 86
but it swings at least 2g lighter. I would consider it a bit head heavy but most would say fairly even balanced. It is a doubles racket primarily.

so it is a panda racket painted to be the spider one? what would make one do that?

Little bird tells me that maybe a mfg was showing what kind of quality of graphics they
were able to produce at their factory. Should be getting close now.

so in other words... SOTX is OEM of Kawasaki...

This talk of "panda's in disguise" and manufacturer's demo graphics may mean it's the PP Precision Pro prototype. ??
09-21-2011, 11:18 PM #13
Nope not a Sotx ...... think Green .....think fast doubles racket now wearing woven.....
racket is a prototype so not sure if any more out there.
Will give the answer tomorrow as off to bed. Pretty sure some one will get it by then.

But if it's a Woven Precision, it's missing the kevlar. I guess that's only for the Revelation then...

Fidget must have been posting at the same time as yes it is Panda Woven Precision.
The shaft and head design work very well together hopefully Dan will be making this in the future. Kicks the old version up with more power and better control.

most of these small brands don't have their own factory. at one time, Alpha and Winex has the same OEM factory, for example.

Dink has received samples and prototypes like Ormy's from a bunch of different OEMs - it could have been made by anyone.
