at least China cannot do a clean sweep on this one as on XD finalist are not from China (except you count Taipei or Taiwan as China too..)

    MAS should take one
I'm hoping INA also get one too

If Chen Long tomorrow can put up a good fight against Datuk Lee or take 1 game off him, that would signal CL has step up his game to another level and worthy of being world no.3, having already just beaten Chen Jin and Peter Gade.

Glad to see no CHN representative for XD section.
LCW should also break CHN dominations on this final.

And Hopefully Bosan could put up a good fight for tomorrow...
    Go Bosan!!!

I think only us following badminton.

with china doing this. this game is a laughing stock. Same goes to bwf. Sad. ;)

It is going down the drain in terms of 'trying' to achieve 'professionalism'. ;)

a thread is not worthy without any predictions!

Cheng Wen Hsing / Chien Yu Chin vs. Bao Yixin / Zhong Qianxin - the youngster brushed death the 2nd time yesterday by saving don't know how many match points. can they do that again? i think they can overpower the taiwanese.

Lee Chong Wei vs. Chen Long - another chance for Lee Chong Wei to get some quality sparring, and similarly for Chen Long. Chen Long will have to keep learning how to beat LCW though, as i don't think he will succeed this time.

Wang Yihan vs. Juliane Schenk - WYH is in great form. what else can we say?

Chen Hung Ling / Cheng Wen Hsing vs. Joachim Fischer Nielsen / Christinna Pedersen - tough call this one. both are pretty even. but i think Chen Hung Ling will cast his Expelliarmus spell to the Danes like they did to the number 1 seed yesterday.

Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng vs. Mohammad Ahsan / Bona Septano - another tough call. tired veterans vs. hungry youngsters. i will give the youngsters a vote here. hopefully CY/FHF will give a more inspiring display than what they have so far.

    Re: kwun's predictions:

Agree with WD. Their semi-final was a great nail-biter.
When Bao and Zhong were down 3 match points their faces did not betray any anxiety ... just simple confident determination. That type of mindset is hard to beat.

MS and WS is probably right, but an upset in either is not impossible.

MD can''t agree - the "tired veterans" will manage to find enough mojo to overcome the youngsters.

I dont know if LCW's shoulder still hurt..............????

It will be close as CL has improved each time they play, I think CL could take one game off LCW this time !!

LCW seems not in the same form like before, so this is CL's best oppotunity to beat LCW once again after so long................ and CL is so fresh as he dont have to play in SF yesterday !!

CL is young and fresh for to day's MS final........all advantages in on CL's side today !!

Except Chen Long crushed Lee Chong Wei after losing the first game 7-21 in their first ever meeting. Given the sparring with Lin Dan, Chen Jin, etc, and the recorded Chinese footage and analysis of Lee Chong Wei, Chen Long should win this fairly easily in straights.

If the scores are 30-29; 29-29 or 30-29; 29-30,29-29 to CL, I suggest LCW concede a walkover, citing shoulder injury. Better still if the score is 21-0; 20-0 in LCW's favour..

Both players should know each other very well by now so element of surprise should be quite minimum hence better player shall prevail(in this case Datuk Lee). Chen Long is potentially an excellent player but I think still one level below Chong Wei at this point of his career. By Olympic time, Chen Long will be a real title contender.

Cheng's service is so poor that if they win, it usually is very close 'cos they can't score points on her service.

They actually won 2 consecutive points on Cheng's "low" serve

I mean other than her serve, CWH is an excellent player. Very aggressive, a bit wild and crazy. 19-13
