Halo, my name is Joshua and am looking for a few partners who would like to perform some badminton drills and practice with me. I'm a beginner who has just engaged a badminton coach. I'm meeting my coach every week for practice but knowing the techniques without sufficient practice is almost useless. I hope to practice the techniques so when i meet my coach, he can teach me more things. I'm now looking for a few partners who can do badminton drills and practice with me and I'm willing to share with you the good things being taught to me. We can arrange to meet for practice with booked court or free play. (Many courts in Singapore are not booked during office hours. Will check status before meeting up.) Aim: Perfect strokes for all techniques through repetitions. Fee: Free of Charge (FOC). May need to pay for booking of court(s) if no free play is available (seldom happens). We will share the cost of court if any. Practice strokes for: Smash, clear, drop, net, backhand, doubles co-ordination, drives, etc. Contact: If you reside in Singapore and is interested to practice as much as possible, kindly contact me at +65 84406449 Joshua. Shuttlecock: We will be using Li-Ning A+60 for our training and drills. Li-Ning A60+ is the same model shuttlecock used in Singapore Sports School for training Singapore's National Team (China's Ling Dan also using same model for training.) I have already ordered 120 shuttlecocks but have yet to arrive. Meanwhile we will just use whatever is available. Other equipment(s): I have enough extra racquets if you are unable to bring your own during the session(s). Badminton shoes preferred, other sports shoes are fine as long as you are comfortable. Preferred Location: Clementi Sports Hall, Bukit Gombak Sports Hall, Delta Sports Hall or whatever that is free.
Wah ! Very detailed and precise information. At first , I thought is a Coach engaging some students ... Upzz for you
Oh I'm definitely not a coach. The fact is, I want to train myself to be one some day. Welcome everyone who is a badminton enthusiast like me. The more contacts I have, the more practice can be arranged. To be frank, I've joined many badminton clubs in Singapore. Playing is just not the same as practicing. I really hope there will be at least one who can join me and we can improve together!
New Facebook Page for Training Schedule Hi friends, I've received quite a number of replies either by sms, email or within this thread. I'm starting to get confused with who and who. So far the group no Reiko but have Miyuki and Akiko. Maybe some days will have a few Sakura or even Maria Ozawa...
Hope you can join. Now that the group are mostly beginners, the kinds of drills and tactics rally is limited. I believe in few weeks or months time, we should be able to perform more difficult rallies. If you are advanced or intermediate player, you will find us very useful to practice with you in few weeks time. Join us today!!!
Joshua, can I suggest you practise your footwork as well. some may disagree but imho its more important than your technique. There's no point in possessing good technique when you can't even reach for the shuttle.
Agreed with Bruce .... Footwork very Important ... With right footwork, you can reach "anywhere" you want in the court... upzz
