but I'm sure there's no Djarum players, they participate in Pertamina Open also next week. There will be 3 tournaments in Indonesia this month, including Kejurnas last week, Astec Open this week and Pertamina Open.

If the seating capacity in this location is max 300, it will be difficult to accommodate the many interested children who are on school holidays. Not unless they add more seats to the gallery and turn on the aircon to make it comfortable.

No top young guns from Jaya Raya though, like Hafiz/Shella, Hafiz/Putra, etc.

Instead, they send the younger ones like Fajar/Rian, Lya/Russelly.

Good to see current INA strongest U-15 GS, Fitriani (still 13 y.o, born in 1998) progress to next round in GS U-17 after beat THA player. Wonder why she play in GS U-17 even she still eligible in the U-15 division? Hope anyone who watch live in stadium please kindly give review on Fitriani :D:D

And I wonder what's the situation like in the Hall. Are there many spectators? Are there enough seats for everybody?
Is it comfortable inside or too warm? Are cameras allowed inside ?

really really really not enough space if compared with the previous tournament.

overall i can say the hall is not suitable to conduct a tournament. cameras are allowed, but no flash.

also i think the weather is hot, even all fans are turned on.

I dropped by the new Singapore Badminton Hall (SBH) yesterday evening to catch some of the Day 2 action.

This year's tournament attracted quite a number of entries. This is probably the first time I have seen the Malaysian juniors participate in this tournament. I believe the boys are from Bukit Jalil as they were in their yellow camouflage YY outfits imprinted with the name of their main sponsor 'Maybank'. The Thai and Taiwanese players are also a force to be reckconed with.

I was surprised to see Candra Wijaya, his wife and son at SBH. His son is Wintan Wijaya and represented the Candra Wijaya International Badminton Centre (CWIBC). He played in the U11 Boys Singles but was outclassed by his opponent, a very skillful Indian boy. Candra's brother-in-law Ronald Susilo was also there to support his nephew.

I left the hall before midnight and the matches were stillongoing. There was a 2 hour delay in the match schedules. Heard from Scanner the matches finished at 1am on first day.

Thank you for all your input.

As I expected, I was afraid the hall may not be suitable for such a popular event during year end when the school holidays have begun.

But with so many courts, why can't they complete on schedule? Insufficient officials?

I've long forsaken my darling tripod who has given me many years of joy and precision pics. She is enjoying her pension now. ;)

So I invested in a monopod instead but will resort to hand-held if necessary. :D:D:D

Under these circumstances, I think I have to forsake this year's visit to the tournament, unfortunately. :(
