I wonder, can anyone help me choose? i have been browsing around the forum, but not enough details about each racket, thus, here i am making a new thread about it.

ive heard that the VT series replaces the armortec series.
Does anyone know when the prices will drop for the armortec then?
That would be nice because i could just buy the armortec 70mega and save myself a few dollars

    PRICES;
    VT 5 = 100$ CDN
    Armortec 70 mega = 110$ CDN

Which one would you pick? And why?

Hard to pick, for me,when they both are head heavy and i cant even try them off because i have to purchase it before doing so... and there are no refunds.
I dont want to pick the VT 7 because, ive heard the paint chips off easily just in one clash, well, in what ive seen in the forum so, it would be harder to sell it back when i dont want it anymore.

    Anyways,Thanks for your replies.

All Yonex nowadays, made in Taiwan or not, have poor paint quality in comparison with Li-Ning and Victor racquets. I play those three makes and I can tell you having difficulty to find paint chips on Li-Ning & Victor racquets I play in men doubles, when my Armortecs have all bad wounds…

For me, if you don’t go for VT7 for this, you’re making a mistake, as it’s a far better racquet than VT5 or AT70 Mega G2.

However that may be, VT5 is already better than AT70 Mega G2 in all domains, starting with shot precision, which is not difficult in comparison with an AT70.

Could you tell me why is the VT7 is better than VT7?

    Other than the weight.

VT7's frame mainly: it is made in HM Graphite when VT5's frame is only in carbon.
This gives far more stability, precision and less vibrations to the VT7.

In fact I would see the VT5 as the AT50's replacement. Same head heavy carbon racquet with tungsten inserts in the frame (Voltric system).

Some people have complained about VT7's vibration and instability though.

And in Paul's badminton blog, he said VT5 felt much nicer than VT7.

Overall i also like that racquet AT70MG2, i always use it b4 i buy VT80. xD

I dont have victor, lining or VT7 or VT5 ..... that one i cant help

@observer: you're right AT70 Mega MG2 is a nice racquet for beginners, where it is lacking it's mainly on the precision side.
For that, VT5 is better; this is all I'm saying.

@KinkySmasher: I am saying that VT7 is better than VT5, to answer aznb3n question, on the precision and stability chapters; it doesn't mean that VT7 is the most stable and precise racquet ...!
When it comes to Paul's reviews, he is no bible as he says himself.
Personally I don't want to be sponsored by anybody so I may test and pick the best racquet at all times.

It depends where you are. If you are in South East Asia, I'll do the same.

I am not sure that in Canada you will have the same deal for Victor racquets....

    I see...
Then Just go for voltric :) since Paul gave quite a good review on Voltric series
and also one thing in future Armortec series might be replaced with Voltric.

Okay, that's fair. I'm not here to argue. Just to help the OP by what other people have said:

    1. Some people have complained about VT7's vibration and instability.
    2. In Paul's badminton blog, he said VT5 felt much nicer than VT7.

Have you tested these rackets tikok?

So, if i get this right
Armortec 70 Mega, is a good racket overall, but its not better than VT 5 or VT 7, even tho the head is almost the same weight.
VT 7 is superior because the frame is made of H.M Graphite
High modulus means its more stiff, i presume

but like kinky said, ive read about the reviews too, about the vibrations and such.
Now im not sure which one to pick ,its rather confusing.
I'm using a racket now, and its full carbon, no problems here, but i did try H.M graphite and it did feel like it was vibrating. I tried the arcsaber 10, not sure if it was my technique, or not but the racket felt good, until i hit the shuttle, the racket felt all weird. My friend said the racket was hand stringed, so that could be one of the reasons but i dont know... the frame and then the shaft felt like it was a on vibrate for a split second.

I'll be doing some thinking on which racket to choose... this is really confusing

Armortec 70 Mega is excluded. Thanks

AS003 is an Arc Saber, so merely no head weight, this racquet being more on the control side.
It has an over sized frame similar to certain Forza OZ racquets (Ti300, for example).

It depends what you're looking for: singles, doubles, what type of racquet you're used to.

you could recommend another racket but within the budget

Well, I haven't been in Canada for a few years so I am not sure what you can get for 100 CAD.

Coming back to what we discussed, if VT7 is within your budget, playing doubles and singles, looking for an head-heavy racquet I would say go for it.
Otherwise there is a bit more challenging racquet, a bit stiffer, but similar to VT7: the Victor Total Inside Wave Slim.
Otherwise if you may pick Li-Ning, Kason, Apacs, Forza racquets in your budget range I may propose more.
    Let me know, cheers ;)

In Japan at least, the Voltric 80 are cheaper than the Armortec 900 for example... So I doubt prices will drop much...
