Do all manufacturers work on a fixed set of parameters ?

    To a certain extend we do find this on the various weight categories of the rackets n grip sizes but what about shaft stiffness.Do you find 'medium stiffness' on a racket feels like a 'flexible' on another racket from a different manufacturer n vice versa?

    i agree with visor... no for the 1st q & yes for the 2nd q
    i would like to take 4 rackets below as my example

    dunlop biomimetic tour (rated as medium) is actually stiffer than a 'stiff' yonex at700
    & apacs lethal 35 (rated as stiff) is actually stiffer than a 'very stiff' yonex ns9900

    however this is based on my own shallow experience :eek: and please do not take this as your main reference
