Are the rackets the pros use different than the ones we use?
I was chatting with my friend's wife. She has connections to the badminton world in Indonesia and she said that the rackets that the pros use are different than the ones distributed to the masses by Sunrise (even though it's the same model). The rackets pros use are stronger and can take higher tension. They have different code on the racket than the ones meant for sale.
So....can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

if I'm not wrong, yes, they have different version of the racket even though same model
I remember KP cone code, people in Chinese forum checked it and it has slimmer shaft
which makes it easier to break (that's why KP code is cheaper than normal KR code) also it has no warranty

It has been discussed before that if a pro likes a certain balance point and weight, they will be supplied with that balance point and weight for that racquet, as all racquets have a +/- for things the suppliers aim to get them the same specs that they like.

Interesting subject and a question I did ask before as a kid but never really found an answer to.
More input needed from those who know!

I think you are confusing N-series (the National team series) uses T50 etc. with the UC (Ultracarbon series) uses T40 etc. that use different materials. I know some pros using Li-Ning rackets and they get the rackets from the same batches as retail, so absolutely no diffference between retail and what the best players like JO uses..
With Yonex, there have always been discussion about this as they have different batches / serials for PRO rackets and retail.. For example DP for danish sponsored players andd DK for "mortals" in the serial number.. same with "old" Koread KP, KR i suppose...
But I have tried both DP and DK rackets but have not found any significant differences.. Maybe more stringent QC, but it is hard to confirm this..
Cheers,
T
