Really, no thread for these two?
They are truly amazing in defence. But could they learn to be more aggressive? Perhaps then they'd be top of the heap.

Happy B.day to the indefatigable Ms. Maeda. Here's an article from BWF on her back in May. http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=49238 (Even BWF can't avoid repeatedly referring to her good looks:rolleyes:)

Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna - good fighting spirit, solid defence....but most of the time stay too long in defence. Agreed with Fidget here, they need to be more aggressive instead of relying too much on defence and long rallies.

    Anyway, Happy Birthday Miyuki-chan!;)

    Happy Birthday to Miyuki [IMG].
IMO, she is currently the most powerful female smasher in the Japanese team.

Them, in the Japan Nationals 2010.

Don't know. They usually only discuss the male players regarding speed.

Hope Miyuki/Satoko able to get out of the slump. Perhaps too much attention on XD with Noriyasu?

From the last sentence in the BWF article.

Maeda should know, as she is certainly quite a dish!

These are the same guys who want female players to wear skirts as a requirement.

    I love Maeda too ^^
She might have great power, but her smash isnt aggressive enough.

What racquets are these girls using? It didn't look like isometric shape.

I've been watching this duo and as others have stated, they sure like their defense. I suppose it's been working for them. When they are on their top game defensively, they wear out the opponents over time. Over and over, they give the opposing team a shot at them, until the opponents tire out and make an error. I have to say I do enjoy their long rallies.

They have been partners for a long time and it shows on the court. Both equally expressive and almost always smiling even when down in the game or match.
