Default Ashaway stringing machines? Good or Bad?

    Hi all,

I'm contemplating purchasing an Ashaway Stringing machine, however I have no idea if they make good solid machines. The one in question is a crank type machine from a local shop, unfortunately I do not know the exact model.

It has been used to string tennis and squash rackets but I have been assured it should string badminton rackets no problems. I was told it just needs to be calibrated as it has been sitting in storage for a while (its a second hand machine). Are calibration easy to do? Sorry for newbie questions but I have to start somewhere.

I've had a look through the previous threads here but did not find any useful ones regarding Ashaway stringing machines. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I need to make a decision by tomorrow morning.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Kindest regards,

    -Ajay-

Cheers for your reply, is the Ashaway machine sub par then compared to Exthree?
