    Today, Sunday 16-Oct-2011, we arrive at Finals Day.

    For the Schedule of Matches, here is the link;

    For Live Streaming;

    Who will take the titles? My guesses are;

    * WS:
    Yao Jie [2] (NED)

    * MS:
    Hsueh Hsuan Yi [7] (TPE)

    * WD:
    Duanganong Aroonkesorn/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul [1] (THA)

    * MD:
    Ingo Kindervater/Johannes Schoettler [1] (GER)

    * XD:
    Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam [1] (THA)

    The Giraffe is still chewing up the seeds and spitting them out. Will Jie Yao be next in line? Only Sindhu knows the answer to that one!!! :D

    The XD finals should be interesting. If both pairs play hard to win, then Kunchala will be left with little time to recover for the WD finals later. I would give the Singapore pair of Shina Mulia Sari & Lei Yao the better chance of winning the WD title.

    MD: both pairs have come this far without dropping a game. But obviously the German pair are vastly more experienced and (probably) battle-ready, so I agree with Chris' prediction. :)

    OT: a search on Youtube for "Yonex Dutch Open 2011" got me this:

    Chris doesn't predict, he guesses ;):cool:

    I'm going for:
    XD: Songphon/Kunchala
    MS: Hsueh
    WS: Auntie Yao Jie!
    WD Duanganong/Kunchala (she does the double)
    MD: Cwalina/Logosz

    *waiting for baseball world championship final :rolleyes: RAIN DELAY approaching 3 hours :D *

    What makes the German MD "vastly more experienced" anyway? I would think Logosz (born 1977) has been around the longest and Cwalina is at least as experienced as Schoettler ... A quick TS check tells us Logosz' first(?) international tournament was in 1994 ;).

    I'm impressed with Sindhu P.V performance........She'll be force to be reckoned with in future alongside Nozomi, Mitani etc

    Good back up for Saina in future.

    She'll take the WS crown for sure......Sorry auntie YJ and hometown crowds :(

    Indeed, impressive performance by Sindhu to knock out Gu Juan and Thai promosing star Porntip. Let's see who will win here, Auntie YJ or this Indian teenager, 34 v 16 y.o ;)

    I'm going for:
    XD: Songphon/Kunchala (well if I hadn't seen the #1's play yesterday that would also be my pick but the #1's looked pretty impressive in dismantling the German machine)
    MS: Hsueh
    WS: Auntie Yao Jie!
    WD Duanganong/Kunchala (she does the double)
    MD: Kindervater/Schöttler
