Yesterday, I met a friend who owned a Gosen Gaven Root 5000 Ti which is oval shape flame. I tried it and I found it was a very good racket - awesome. I used ISO 800 TOUR (former used Ti10). I began to believe that folks said it was as good as Yonex rackets. I think I will acquire, at least will consider, Gosen if my Yonex broke in future. Does anyone have Gosen (especially other models) and find it good when compare with Yonex? I find it is unpopular brand.
Gosen aermet 5300 I use a Gosen 2500. Its a very good racket, espicially if your an aggressive player. Comparable with Yonex MP99, but I think a little better. They've bought out a new racket Gosen aermet 5300. Has anyone tried it as yet?
I had only try the aremet 4500 and that racket is awesome. Have to get uses to it since it feels totally different than the other manufactor, probably because of the 2 kick point system. The control is good and most of all, very powerful. I am also looking for review on the new gosen WPP frames such as the 5300 . And also, anyone know where I can acquire the 5300 that is cheaper than 100US??
I've used a Gosen 5000 Ti, Gosen 1700 , plus also a Gosen 3000 (RL). They make some really nice power racquets if that's what you're looking for. Their kick-point works a lot better than the Black Knight version of the kick-point, so I was smashing really hard with this racquet for quite awhile. But their idea of a stiff racquet really isn't that stiff at all. Still, these are really nice racquets. It's too bad there aren't more of them around Canada and they weren't cheaper...
I have 5000 Ti, it great in smashs, high power, nice handle(tightness&stiff) but not dexterous when recive smash maybe new 5300 is better.
I have the Gosen Roots Gavun Aermet 2900. The 2 kick-point system makes it feel weird, it's as if the head of the racquet wants to flop around. That's an exaggeration, of course , but you definItely feel the second kick-point. Very powerful and takes less effort to get that power than my MP77. But I seem to tire more quickly with the Gosen. Anybody else experience this? I still prefer the stiffness of my MP77 but I haven't used the Gosen very much yet. Pointfore.Ca are you in the GTA? I know a place that sells Gosen racquets for much less than Yonex racquets. Which makes me a littel suspicious, but they seem to be well made and not counterfeit. I think the guy just imports then from asia in a less open way.
i saw a new Gosen racket a couple of months ago. the design is what i would call "counter isometric". instead of making the racket head iso/square shape, they did the opposite. what they did was they lengthen the middle few main strings and middle few cross strings (ie. the strings that crosses the center of the sweet spot). they did that by having a recessed grommet holes from the inside of the frame. the results is that the effective shape of the racket head is now more of a rombus instead of square. i never played with the racket though, not sure if that works or not...
In the UK i've seen one site where you can get the 5300. www.wembleysports.net They seem to specialise in Gosen. I've ordered one for £80, will get in once in stock.
There is a new Gosen racquet, Roots Gavun Aermet 6000, Gosen's top model in their 2004 catalog. Has anyone got their hands on this one yet? Looks like an improvement on the Roots Gavun WPP Aermet 5300 and the Titan 3500. It is also very expensive at Yen 27,300. This is even more expensive than the Yonex AT700 or MP99/100.
