during a game, should one breath thru the mouth or nose?

is it the same for all sports? marathon, basketball or sprint?

Swimming is a little different I guess. But in relation to badminton, I cannot see that you would gain anything from the nose, but if you use both there might be a different, but hard to control.
For some time ago you could buy these strips to put on your nose, which should make it possible to transfer more air trough the nose. I dont think it ever became a hit.

So we should breath primarily through the mouth, right?

IMO - yep, but I am not an expert in stuff like that. I am sure somebody out have some arguments about breating in through mouth, and out through nose, or the other way around.

Just breath naturally...that is not to think about how you breath. Your body knows when you should breath through your nose or mouth.
