    Dear all

I have been playing regularly 3 times a week (8 hours a week), and noticed that at the foot palm of my feet, skin is beginning to feel off.

I do wear proper badminton shoes and socks.

Never had this problem, when I was playing once a month :) It must be the frequency of 3 times a week :)

How can I prevent this from happening ? Is this normal ? What do you do to fasten recovery ? It is not painful or serious, but i dont like skin to be peeling off, as it feels rought, and yes, I like my feet smooth and clean :)

    Please share your experience.

    Thanks

As long as it's not bleeding or painful, it should be fine. Your skin there will gradually adapt and start growing thicker skin as callus formation occurs. Then that hardened thick skin will protect better.

when I used to play basketball when I was younger we used to wipe our feet with surgical spirit or soak them in salt water to toughen them up a bit.
