We are nearly half way through the years Olympic qualification period so I have only chose the best 5 results thus far to give a more accurate picture of how it is going.
    (inclusive of french open)

MENS SINGLES (only one gent will qualify as zero chance of both getting into top 16)

    1.RAJIV OUSEPH 17082.1617

2.SCOTT EVANS 10970 (outside qualy rankings at the moment)

WOMENS SINGLES (only one lady will qualify as zero chance of both getting into top 16)

    1.SUSAN EGELSTAFF 14000

    2.ELIZABETH CANN 13631

Mixed doubles (Only one pair will qualify due to very small chance 2 pairs being top 8)

    1.Bankier/adcock 26760

    2.Robertson/wallwork 21922.23

    3.Blair/White 17560

    WOMANS DOUBLES DOUBT IT.

MENS DOUBLES ADCOCK AND ELLIS MIGHT SLIP IN THE BACK DOOR WITH COUPLE OF REALLY GOOD RESULTS.

    Will update it when appropriate.

Scott Evans is from Ireland, so he could qualify on his own.

Can you put the current world ranking in as well? It save some misinterpretation.

The last couple of super series events have been less than spectacular for 'team GB'

Robertson and Wallwork's results have been very disappointing since the World Championships in August. I was under the impression that Robertson was trying to extend his career so he could play in the Olympics in 2012, I don't think he'll qualify by right and does he really deserve a wildcard?

I would rather imogen or blair and their respective partners qualified so there is some scottish representation but robertson is only a couple of good tournament results away from taking the lead if the others had a bad tournament so not that unrealistic. What do you mean by wildcard? GB has over a minumum of 2 players qualifying (likely) so will not get any wilcard, correct me if i am wrong.

Under no circumstances whatsoever should Elisabeth Cann be sent to the Olympics next year...

    True, if Blair loses in:

    1st match 6050 - result replacing 2660 = 3390 + existing best 7 22950 = total 26340
    semi 7700 new total = 27990
    runner up 9350 = 29640
    winner 11000 = 31290

So even if they win Blair and White will still be behind imogen/adcock after the, 7 best tourneys so far stat. If they are runner up they will over take robertson and wall.

Yes, having read the article it's clear who they favour (it always has been clear who they favour-cause they're English)

But surely they have to reconsider this stance after this: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...E861D23-AE65-4180-94E4-CB8424C191FD&player=31

And they want Cann to go to the olympics, what a joke if it was to happen after some of the results she gets...

Free places to the host nation? The way I read it was if nobody qualified we would get free place but if over 2 did qualify then no other spots for free?? see below

The host NOC (Great Britain) is entitled to enter a minimum of two players. If additional players qualify under the regulations, they may also be entered.
If two or more players from the host NOC (Great Britain) are not placed in qualifying positions from the BWF ranking list of 3 May 2012 then the entitlement of two players shall be completed by the qualification of an additional player or players from the BWF ranking list(s) nominated by the British Olympic Association.
The player(s) qualifying for the host NOC will be the highest ranked player(s)/pair in the nominated BWF ranking list(s) of 3 May 2012, or if there is no host NOC players/pair in the nominated BWF ranking list, the NOC will decide the entries latest by 10 May 2012.

    GB Mixed doubles

    ADCOCK & BANKIER BEST 8 37590 RANK 14
    ROBERTSON & WALLWORK BEST 8 32072.23 RANK 23
    BLAIR & WHITE BEST 8 27260 RANK 21

    WS

    Susan Egalstaff BEST 8 20530 RANK 32
    Elizabeth Cann BEST 8 19441 RANK 54

    MS

Rajiv oUSEPH gaurenteed! unless he gets injured or a DSQ for PEDS. Although to be fair he does not look like he takes PEDS, more like mary jane.

    WD

    Forget it!

    MD

ADCOCK & ELLIS Looks like they should make it no problem now due to there being so many duplicate countries not within qualification criteria in top 16

Why do you think Elisabeth Cann shouldn't go?
