1 year later after i got my machine, i've just realized I was gripping the string the wrong way, i basically wrap the string around the gripper many times and using the string as the holding force...

needless to say the reason was my stringer, the gripper is missing 1 of the rough part (has one on top but not on the bottom), so I was never able to grip any string with it.

I've call the company but I'm not sure how they will respond... is there any ways to replace that rough thing? (i'm thinking sand paper?)... anyone have a clue? it looks like sand paper to me, but I'm not sure if sand paper will damage the string.

    1) What brand and model is your machine?
    2) post a picture and we might help you to figure it out.

a picture is worth a thousand words.

a thousand words is worth more than 10 words. :)
