. CCC Badminton: 10th Xmas & End-of-Year Party (2011) Hi CCCers, Today is Melbourne Cup day. It reminds me to start organising our CCC Xmas & End-of-Year Party. This is what I am thinking; * When: On a Saturday night (10-December-2011) * Where: At a restaurant (need some suggestions) * What we shall have: Food, Drinks, Singing & Dancing If any CCCers have suggestions, please let us know. .
I would suggest either the happy valley again in the city or the malvern japanese restaurant we went many years ago. As you all know, I like to party and singing so those two places suited me. As for picking the date, I suggest you run it by wed/sunday group for a week or two first and once u got few ppl agree on one day make a decision. I do agree on either friday or sat day night as sunday night would be hard. Bearing in mind Chris you have coaching on sunday so probably have to start earlier on sat day. otherwise you could always do a sunday yum cha after your coaching middle of the day.

About picking the date, I thought Saturday night 10-December is the best. This is because when we have it on Saturday 17-December, many work places/offices have their parties on this day. And of course we should keep Saturday 24-December for family reunions. Let's wait for Liong-K to reply, to see if he will allow us to take over his restaurant again for this party. .

. Thanks Ken, I shall go there to have a look. Liong has offered us his restaurant for our party (a private party for us, closed for other customers). We can sing (Karaoke), dance, and eat, but bring your own drinks. I like the idea that our party can be private, without others looking on at us (they could be laughing at us singing and dancing, and having fun). .

Tengri Tag Restaurant . Hi Ken, I eventually went to try Tengri Tag Restaurant hours ago; http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/71/1568920/restaurant/Melbourne/Tengri-Tag-Camberwell I tried their XinJiang Chilli Lamb Tripe and XinJiang Bread. Not bad at all - I give them 8 out of 10 (for the dishes I had). .
clash with DTBA 10/12 sat day is no good for me. It clash with the DTBA end of year function. I also found out xin jieng restaurant at camberwell open on sunday afternoon. We shall go there sometime.
Coming later, after having eaten . Some CCCers told me that they have other parties/dinners to attend and that they will come later (after having eaten). Yes, do come. And you don't have to pay anything (since the payment is for the food). There is no charge for coming to sing, dance and enjoy the party. But, perhaps you will need to bring your own drinks. .
no prob. DTBA finish very late at 11 ish so there's no chance I can get to Malvern and party with you guys though. It's just busy time of the year.
. Oh well... This is a repeat of previous years, as far as I can remember. DTBA and CCC are having our parties on the same day. Please tell DTBA why I couldn't attend theirs. .
